In 2004, the Year of the Eucharist, I officially launched my company, Cards
for His Glory. As a Michigan artist and photographer, I know God has
prepared me for this new journey with 20+ years of experience in corporate
design and print communications as a graphic designer and art director. My
forte has always been editorial design: communicating a message with
typography (now called "fonts") and imagery. Only with the prompting of
the Holy Spirit and the encouragement and prayers of my husband, family and
friends, would I be involved in this new and exciting ministry.
The goal for my company, Cards for His Glory, is to spread the Word of God
and the richness of our Catholic faith through the message and beauty of a
greeting card. My cards combine striking photography and art with inspiring
quotes and greetings. These new Catholic greeting cards have a contemporary
feel, yet portray the tradition of the Church. Many of the backs of the
cards contain scripture, Catholic teaching or quotes from the saints.
I have taken most of the photographs, designed all the cards, and have done
most of the writing... all for His glory! My hope is that these cards will
touch hearts and inspire through the beauty of our faith portrayed on these
Catholic greeting cards.
My husband and four children are very supportive of Cards for His Glory -
they help me in many ways, from occasionally packaging up an order to my
husband making a post office run! Our family motto is to "Do small things
with great love," as Blessed Mother Teresa stated so beautifully.
